Wolfinger Cemetery

The Wolfinger Cemetery in Secor Metropark is a historic cemetery in Richfield Township, Ohio. It is named after the founding family of the township. This is the only active cemetery within the Toledo Metropark system.

Wolfinger Cemetery is said to be haunted by three children of the Wolfinger family. According to reports, Thomas, Earnest, and Rebecca play in back fence lines at night. If you are interested in visiting this cemetery, here are a few things to know.

One of the most interesting features of the Wolfinger Cemetery is the inscriptions on the tombstones. In 1835, the cemetery was first established. These inscriptions have a history that includes the earliest settlers of Richfield Township.

There are several other places to visit while you are in the area. Some of these include the Whitehouse cemetery in Whitehouse, Ohio, which holds services for veterans. The Immaculate Conception cemetery in Marygrove, Ohio, also holds ceremonies.

Inclusive playground

In Sylvania Township, Ohio, you will find Secor Metropark. This regional park is part of Metroparks Toledo. It offers an abundance of recreational activities for children of all ages.

The park is located at the corner of Bancroft Road and Irwin Prairie. It is currently under construction. Phase two includes a restroom facility and a new shelter. Aside from the usual suspects, there is a 7-foot climbing course and a log accessible for wheelchair users.

The name of the game for an inclusive playground is to create play opportunities for all ages and abilities. That may mean designing a fun activity for your younger child, like a miniature golf course, or a more elaborate project that will engage your older adult’s attention. Picnic area

The picnic area at Secor Metropark, located near Berkey, Ohio, is a great place to spend the day with family or friends. While there, kids can enjoy playing on an inclusive playground that features colorful sunbeams, nature sounds and other interactive elements. It has been open for a few years and has become popular with local families.

Secor is also home to the National Center for Nature Photography, which offers an indoor viewing area. This attraction is open daily from 10am until 4pm. Visitors can get a closer look at wildlife, and see the different habitats found at the park.

If you are looking for a trail to hike, the Moseley Trail connects Secor to Wiregrass Lake Metropark. There are several food plots in the Wildlife Area, and a large variety of animals to see.

Trail run

If you’re interested in doing a trail run in Berkey, Ohio, you may want to visit Secor Metropark. The park offers several trails. There is a 480 foot boardwalk, which allows you to see birds and spring wildflowers. Also, there is a two-story observation tower for you to view the scenery. Besides being a great place to get a hike in, the park is also a great place to bring kids.

While there are plenty of trails to explore, the park is also the site of the 1795 Battle of Fallen Timbers. There are interpretive signs that explain different aspects of the battle. You can also find a handicap-accessible indoor viewing area.
